Wow, it's that time again. It's bedtime, but Isaac is teething. Two-year molars this time, and it's not fun for any of us. We get him all ready for bed, do the whole calming-down routine, lay him gently in bed, but then he gets up and starts crying. He holds onto his crib rails, jumps up and down on the crib mattress, and wails until he finally falls asleep. Ugh. It's painful for him (even with medicine), and it's painful for us to listen to, so we don't. Horrible, huh? We each took a turn rocking him all night in his rocking chair but he only slept in our arms. A day or so later I took him to the pediatrician. She assured me he is perfectly healthy and gave us permission to let him cry himself to sleep. Two-year molars are the end of the teething tunnel, right?
