The kids have been begging me for a pet, and so far we keep telling them no. Today before church, Kate, Isaac, and I went on a short walk. The neighbor's cat was out, resting in the shade. She was up on a wall, and as I reached up and pet the cat, Kate said, "Surely Isaac wants to pet him, too." I was thinking the same thing. I picked up the cat and put her in Isaac's lap. He put his arm around the kitty and pet her and wouldn't let go! Kate kept begging him for her turn to hold the cat and finally got a turn.

Oh my gosh, Isaac is so big! I swear he looks just like Spencer as a kid.
