Scera Park Elementary holds a "parent and pastry day" every year where the kids read books (to the parents or with the parents? I don't know). Then you get a doughnut and juice in the gym for participating. It's before school, so we had to hussle to get there on time, but it was fun! Above: Kate and Mom in the library.
